wow, so did I ever just give up on this thing or what? The Olympics have begun, hence the second part of this thing. Since the last one I am now schooless and jobless (not homeless though! aha.) Life is not all that it would seem though, the last week has been exhausting and as a result I can barely talk because of it. I've only worked for the games for a half a day because all of the events where I'm working (creekside-downhill racing) have been cancelled hence so have been my shifts. So really I've been up to nothing at all, it's hard to plan anything when you think you're going to be working all day and then you suddenly have it all off. This afternoon was one of those, I was practically going crazy because I had nothing to do, so I figured how to be able to play "your love is a song" by switchfoot...and I'm so loving it, in fact that's all I did today was play some epic piano.

After Christmas
Christmas Holidays were fantastic. These next few weeks will be very crazy, I'm gonig to work like an animal until school is done and I have a crazy amount of stuff to do. Finishing Chemistry + History Essay + Studying for provincials = only thing in Katie's life until the 22nd.

Dec. 2/09
So I guess it's been awhile. Here's what I've been up to since the last post:
1. Training Camp in Silver Star- tons of snow great training, record training hours logged in three days (15!)
2. Dad and Tori visited- took them up the mountain, went to Pemberton, went out for dinners, lunches and lots of hot chocolate.
3. School, School, School!
4. Had enough snow to ski lost lake.
5. Skied the Callaghan for the first time- time trials....didn't go as well as expected :(
6. Bizarre Bazaar
7. Staying at Legends on and off this week.
It's been pretty crazy...all good though. Christmas is SOOOO soon! My flight leaves in exactly 2 weeks. I hope p.s. gets a dumpload of snow sometime soon, I really, desperately do not want to go home to a green christmas, and I need to be able to ski!!

Friday? again?
So it comes to be Friday, again. Definitely the onlt time that I have to write on this thing. TGI friday is yet another theme of my day, or rather my whole week. It hasn't stopped raining in like 3 weeks. I'm so stoked for Silver Star next week!! I will be so happy to see the snow and to get skiing againg! There' snothing like the forst ski of the year to get out of the November grossness in general. I so love Saturdays. I've never really appreciated them this much before though because I've always been so busy. But this is just so good....

Oh man.
TGI Friday. This week has been kind of a downer for some reason. There was a lot of school to catch up on, a lot more than expected after my week of galavanting down and around the coast. Although on tues. I did get to meet Chandra Crawford!! She was at a press conference in Van. It was pretty small, and only like an hour. My coach, Maria, knows her and so I got introduced as the Whistler Nordics new member...so it was cool finding out that she knows Skeets Morel and where Parry Sound is!
The rest of the week has consisted of forgetting very hard worked on projects at home, finding out about a chem midterm, being exhausted and freezing cold. I' hoping for a good weekend at least, Halloween party should be awesome.
Happy Weekend.

Another one!
Hey there!
Although I've been lazing around all week I have yet to update this. Surfing in Tofino was awesome, especially being able to run around in a full out neoprene suit; complete with hoodieand booties. On getting there, it was only by chance that we even made it there when we did: we were the very last car on the ferry, etc. On the Sunday I proceeded to do 9 hrs. of travelling by myself. Starting with the bus ride to Port Alberni that started with one two-laner windy highway and a bus, and ended with me re-visiting my pancakes in the parking lot...not so fun. The rest of the way to Victoria was fine though. Victoria was sweet, seeing the harbour, parliament buildings, out for dinner etc. The clipper to Seattle was pretty good, and I couldn't believe how good it felt to out on the water, wind blowing, etc! So for the rest of the week I've just been chilling in Seattle, staying at Ali's house and the rest of the fam is here on holiday's too. We've done some shopping, walking, bike ride and a heck of a lot of eating. We had a huge roast/bday dinner and a late thanksgiving dinner, I feel like a fat tub of lard right now. Speaking of food though there's a nice bowl of turkey soup and some french bread calling me...
