Sept. 11/09 (that is for you Meaghan)
aha.
This week has pretty much been school and nothing really has happened since the last post.
I forgot my lunch and my rollerskis today, fortunately got my rollerskis dropped off though.
Alas, it is a beautiful, sunny, cloudless day out and I should be out paddling. But water or not this weather still tempts me....

aww
Gah! I have been slacking. Nothing about rollerskiing (Callaghan, Valley Trail), nothing about Mom leaving, nothing at all.
So labour day weekend was def different. No Bay, no boats, no sun..
It poured all weekend so I sat on the couch for one day.
Church and Grand piano playing all afternoon. (which just so happened that I left my rain coat there....still haven't found it)
Vancouver on Labour Day.
Ikea was great, it's alway's fun shopping. Oh!..before that, Galileo's on the way down was excellent. I experienced my first London Fog. It was amazing. (consists of ealr grey tea with foamed milk and vanilla)
Whole Foods. My new favourit store. It is in fact a grocery store but it is thee grocery store, to end all grocery stores. The wall of cheese, ahhh every cheese, from everywhere in every size, smell...
The CHOCOLATE!!!! So much, big giant chunks everywhere, every size, every shade..
A wall of yogurt flavours.
Every kind of sausage imaginable.
A wall of tea.
An aisle of granola, cereals, nuts, wheats, pastas,
Fresh mad pizza and lunch.
The desserts, the BROWNIES (one of which I enjoyed while eating lunch by myself today)
The bread.
Food is so amazing and I am so thankful for chocolate, especially dark chocolate. I don't understand how it could possibly be so good.
That was yesterday and it was amazing.
Today not so much.
Tomorrow I have an awesome salad for lunch, things are looking up.
Hope you're not too hungary now.

I've had some pretty radical days here in Whistler/Pemberton. After all though, school did start today. We were only in classes until 10:30, so it wasn't much of a day and I'm thinking that (actually what the janitor from Pemberton Secondary-I just agree) it was pretty much a head count, paperwork, stuff like that. So for homeroom I tried to be social and sat down at a table with a girl already sitting there and guess what? Christina befriended me, surprisingly enough. I got invited to their gr.12 shindig/all night party etc. Christina text me but obviously, being me, I just got it (10:33) so I replied and said no. No biggie though, I'm just glad that I got invited to their party…that's pretty big for me lol. We'll see how tomorrow goes, see if I really feel strongly about switching to Pemberton Secondary. Starting at a new high school is crazy, I think way tougher University. This whole deal, this is crazy. Crazier than I ever could've imagined, mostly because I just didn't think of the logistics (I think I just like this word, I don’t know if it's really what I'm getting at, what I mean is the everyday stuff, living just being, the big stuff, what I actually thought about will be easy.) So here's to another day at this potentially -temporary, crazy-adventure, high-school-junk/drama/madness, and to everything in between…or something.
Arrival day in Pemberton. We were anticipating not even arriving in Pemberton tonight and expecting to stay in Kamloops or Cache Creek. We ended up making excellent time though and because of the car trouble (oil cap not being closed oil spitting out everywhere, all over the engine, potentially causing an engine fire which had to get engine shampoo for and get it thoroughly rinsed off at the garage) we didn't even get out of Banff until 10. We ended up arriving in Pemberton around 8. Not bad, Not bad. And we survived Highway 99. The CRAZIEST drive of your life, the most intense and most adventure I think I've ever had. It is quite surreal though. When flying you get to be in this sort of time warp on the plane, which for me has meant that I'm going to be somewhere very far away. This time it's like so gradual and you're still in your car it's like it's actually real, which I guess is good for living circumstances. It's actually hit me that this trip is done and I actually am doing this crazy plan of mine, of staying out here and going to school. It's actually happening.
What a year this is going to be…I hope all good and nothing sketch happens. My room is pretty sick though…I really can’t complain about anything in this life.

Again, what a day. No wait…WHAT A DAY!!!!!!!!!
Instead of ending up in Jasper we are in Banff, not so bad though. I got to drive through my first big city-Calgary. After that we had our first view of the mountains, and it has solid adrenaline rush since. I drove to Canmore. I've been to Canmore!!!!! I took us straight to the Nordic Centre. The flags, the stadium, the mountains. I could've choked and cried all at the same time. We did in fact have some car trouble which will need to get fixed in the morning. We has this great Thai dinner and Guava juice, although I didn't feel too great after it. This morning will be the run. I'm planning on running all the way to the Banff Springs Hotel, although I have no idea how far it is. Oh well, it'll be an adventure….
And that's all I ever asked for.

What a day. So that 5 a.m. run I was talking about……well, I at least I talked about it.:( Kenora ended up being a six hour drive which meant we didn't exit Ontario until 2:44. Driving to Winnipeg was super exciting, as was the start of the Prairies.
As we were told, we drove, drove, and drove through endless fields but instead of hating the sameness of it all I thoroughly enjoyed it. We drove for a total of 14 hrs. today and didn't even make it to Saskatoon, our original destination. In fact, we totally changed routes, destinations etc. I'm pretty disappointed about missing out on Jasper and Edmonton and the mall, in fact I'm extremely disappointed. Nearing the end of the drive Mom and I start irritating each other, get snappy and are just plain grumpy around each other..ahaha. Me, on the other hand, I'm am ridiculously happy. What can I say-I'm 17, moving to Whistler, drove across the Prairies for the first time today, and practically fell in love. I'm in Sketch- Bag motel , Melville, Middle of nowhere Saskatchewan.

I'm sitting here in this hotel in Thunder Bay. Went to Gargoyles for dinner. We took a drive to the University…..oh man, I just might need to apply :s. All that I know is that I'm going to be lucky to have any sanity and respect by the end of tomorrow, let alone the rest of the trip and that I'm in desperate need of a run, which I plan on doing tomorrow morning at 5 am. I seriously hope that I can get the charger working for tomorrow…I..need..movies…
I also think that some sleep would be good after doing a 13 hr. drive on 5 hrs. sleep………zzzz

I've only watched 20 min. of movie (LOTR two towers!!!) so I've actually been sightseeing, and I've only done about an hour and twenty minutes worth driving.
I'm thinking that living here wouldn't be so bad, it's so gorgeous. I'm hoping to go eat at the Hoito for dinner or breakfast, go for a run tonight, check out Thunder Bay, the place that I was so set on coming to University to 2 years ago, oh well plans change. I'm going to see if I can post the

First Blog Entry:
So we left by 6:22 this morning. As I write we are approaching the town of marathon, Thunder Bay is still a few hours away. Lake Superior is absolutely beautiful and I'm uber pumped to go hiking there in the spring. The video documentary should be pretty cool, the filming maybe not so great…
